A lot To Blab About

So I have a lot to post with Christmas and all, but I just don't feel like taking the time to go through the hundreds of pictures Dan took. So maybe I'll get around to that when Carter isn't puking anymore (poor little guy has been throwing up all day and it breaks my heart when they are sick). Okay so he's asleep but I still don't feel like going through them all.

Christmas was great. On Monday we went to Temple Square with my family. It was cold but fun. On Christmas Eve we headed to Mom's for some food and the nativity. It was cute. There are enough grandkids for the full nativity now. After, we headed home and the kids opened their pjs and Christmas book. Kids really make Christmas great. I love to see the looks on their faces when they come downstairs and see their gifts from Santa. Carter gets so excited so easy it just makes you want to give him more. Santa gave Bailey a dollhouse and she played with for two hours straight. We had dinner with the Webster family and later on with Dan's parents. Lots of good food. I hope everyone's Christmas was as enjoyable as ours. I will definitely post some fun pics in the next couple day!

We Are Still Alive

It's been about a month since my last past. Between the events of the holidays and my missing card reader, I just haven't got around to posting. I found my card reader and am ready to post. Thanksgiving was a lot of fun. Me my mom and my sisters have started the tradition of spending the night in a hotel (sleeping for an hour and a half) and getting up at 2 in the a.m. to go shopping on Black Friday. It's crazy fun. With Christmas almost here it's a busy time with traditions and parties. Last week my sisters and I got together to make our Christmas craft. It's the words that spell "Santa".

If you have never been to The Wood Connection, you gotta check it out. This is where get all our crafts from. They have a lot of crafts to do.

Last year Carter wanted to sleep by the Christmas tree. It was a lot of fun. After putting the tree up this year it reminded him of that. So we have started another fun tradition. We set our beds up, pop some popcorn, and watch a movie.
Last Saturday we got together and made gingerbread houses. I think Dan enjoyed it more than any of the kids did. He worked on his and Carter's for like an hour. While we were there we pulled out the Christmas music and sang around the piano. I don't know that we are the best singers, but it's something we've done since we were little and still enjoy. That's how exciting life has been for us. Hopefully I'll get around to posting again soon, maybe after Christmas:)

Family Pictures

Yesterday we decided to try out our camera and see just how good this camera is. Have I told you I love our camera? We just went down to the Webster farm and we got some good shots. Thanks to our amazing photographer Gary Crane;)

Okay...So I'm a Slacker

Halloween was how long ago and still haven't posted pictures of my cute kids? Well, here you go. Bailey was a little ladybug and Carter was Optimus Prime. They had a lot of fun and got lots of candy. There you have it. We did family pictures today, but I'm way too tired to post anymore. Check tomorrow and maybe I'll find the time to post some.

Cali Day 3 and 4

So I guess I've been slacking. October was kind of busy, especially the last two weeks. After our trip we had birthdays and work and Halloween and just haven't slowed down. I did our last two days in one slide show.

On the third day of our vacation we headed to Huntington Beach. It was beautiful. The weather was perfect. The water was a little bit cold but didn't even phase the kids. They loved the ocean the played in the waves, built a sandcastle, and played in the waves some more. Dan got some awesome pictures and I enjoyed watching the kids play. We tried to catch all the rides we missed the first day. We made it to the Nemo ride and it was really cute. Carter got to do some "Jedi training." It was really cute and he was brave when he went up against Darth Mal. It was a hot day but we really enjoyed it. Bailey was totally exhausted. At the end of the day we headed to the Rainforest Cafe and it was wonderful. We were sad to see this vacation come to an end, but were ready to be home. Thanks Gronni and Poppi for best Disneyland trip ever!!!

We finished our vacation with one more day of Disneyland. We

Cali Day 2- DIsneyland!!!

Day 2 was our first day in the Disneyland park. Have I told you how much I love Disneyland? Bailey had an emotional day. Isn't it suppose to be the happiest place on earth? She did have fun. We did Pirates of Carribean,(one of my favorites). We didn't even bother taking the kids on the Haunted Mansion. They loved the Winnie the Pooh ride and Buzzlightyear was a hit for everyone. We rode that one a few times. While the adults rode on the Indiana Jones (another favorite), Gronni and Poppi took the kids to the Tiki room and they loved it!!! Some other faves of this day was the Woody's Roundup show and seeing the princesses. Bailey got to meet Cinderella. It was so fun seeing my princess meeting a "real life" princess. We finished with the famous parade and by then all the kids were tuckered out and more than ready for bed.

Happy Birthday to Us!!

As many of you may know mine and Dan's birthdays are just three days apart. I have really been wanting a new camera. So last month I brought it up with Dan. What I had in mine was one of those Nikon Coolpix cameras. Well, Dan had something a little better in mind. He wanted to go all out and this is what we got.

I do have to say that I love it as does Dan. The pictures it takes are amazing. So Happy Birthday to us along with Christmas. Oh yeah and Happy Anniversary gift also! :)

Day1

On the first day of our trip we headed to California Advendture. Our very first ride was the Tower of Terror. That was probably a mistake for Carter and Jake. It scared them to death. They were a little nervous to get on any ride after that. We saw one of the Playhouse Disney shows and the girls danced through the whole thing. I think one of our favorites was Soarin Over California. The boys enjoyed this one. They also enjoyed all the rides in the Bug's Life area. Except for the 3-D show. I love 3-D shows. This one was a little too scary for the little one's. It was still a lot of fun. We had dinner at Goofy's Kitchen this night. It was a lot of fun. The characters come around and greet all the guests and everyonce in awhile Goofy dances with the kids. They loved it and couldn't wait for the next day!

California Day 1-California Adventure and Goofy's Kitchen

Happy Birthday Dan!!!

Dan turned 27 today. I just want to wish Dan a happy birthday and let him know I love and appreciate everything he does. If you've spent any time around him you know he has a great sense of humor. He is the best daddy ever to Carter and Bailey. He works really hard to give our little family everything we need. I love you babe, (pooch and all):) Hope your day was great!!!

We're Back!!!

Well, we just flew in last night from California and it was a very fun trip. We really enjoyed Disneyland and the beach and each other. Dan took HUNDREDS of pictures with our nifty new camera. It's gonna take days to go through all of them. So when we get through them all I will post about our wonderful trip.

Crafts, Drama, and Dress-Ups

We just finished a fun night of crafts, drama, and dress ups. The drama not a big deal, but when you get a bunch of women together there is bound to be some sort of drama. (Can you imagine growing up with 7 girls?!) But we forgive fast and I love all my sisters to death. We got together to make our Halloween crafts. i always have so much fun with these ladies.

Tonight we made the letters that spell witch. Super cute!

Oh, and who says you're ever too old to play dress up. What started as just old t shirt's covering our good clothes, turned into a closet raid. And whose closet did we raid? My Dad's of course. I wore the good old "Webster Construction T" Cherri sported some pj's with a peep hole in the back, and Dakeri, Traci, and Brandi found these awesome shirts. Do they look familiar Amy? Anyway we had a lot of fun and I think we all finished our crafts. Thanks for a fun night!!!
Here's the finished priduct.I have to find another place for it. Dan doesn't like the fact that it covers part of the t.v.

Boys Will Be Boys?

I think Carter has made it clear the last week or two that he needs more attention from us. I'm learning just how weird and disgusting boys can be. Last Sunday (?) pee was discovered in a pot at Gronni and Poppi's house. Poor Jake was the only one there to blame, (sorry buddy), then it was realized that it had been sitting for a few days. So then we asked Carter. Leilani watches the kids once or twice a week. I can't even tell you how much this helps. So they had been there on Tuesday and Friday. When we asked Carter if he did it, he automatically blamed Bailey. That's a dead giveaway. We eventually got it out of him, (and had an opportunity to teach him about lying and it wasn't the first). I asked him later why he peed in Gronni's clay pot. He answered "because I was gonna miss my show." Wow! We have also decided this kid is watching too much t.v. Dan took Carter on a special outing to Chucke Cheeses. We love having one in Layton now. That was his second time going in one week. Carter thought it was great and Chucke even played a few games with him. Anyway, we love this little boy even when he acts out and does disgusting things.
Here's one of Bailey just for fun!

I love fall

I love the fall. I love the smells, the colors, and the weather. It also means my birthday is coming up:) I feel like we've been really busy but we really haven't done too much. Carter
started soccer a couple of weeks ago. He's had too games and they are a riot. I find myself
getting frustrated and then laughing so hard. They just run around the field and are on the ground half the time. I guess I'm just a little competitive. Carter loves it though. He gets so
excited when he kicks the ball that we have to remind him that the game is still going on, but he did a great job.

Bailey is busy being a little princess/mommy. If you're around her for two minutes you'll discover her love for babies and anything that comes with them. She now has a baby "Jade" and a baby "Dakota". She is also a really good helper with the dishes. She will hand them too me when we're putting them away, but when we load the dishwasher it has to be all her. She will do it for hours. Let's just hope this love continues on.

Bailey's Bowdacious Bows

So I've been working on bows for the last few months and I've realize I really love it. I've sold a few here and there and really want to sell more. I've decided to make a blog for it. The link as on the side of my blog at the very top. I'm still figuring it all out, but there is my progress so far. Go check it out!

lake Powell

Lake Powell '08

We had another fun Lake Powell vacation last week. The weather was perfect. We did get some rain but it was the last night and as we were unloading the boat. So it didn't ruin any fun. After one really hot day with no shade, we found a different spot to park theboat that was shaded all day. The kids had a blast. They got to play with their cousins for four days straight. They loved swimming and exploring on beach and through the rocks. I enjoyed relaxing and just being away from all the stresses of home. Thanks everyone for making this so fun!

Carter's Gone Back to School

Carter's first day of school was today and I think he was more than ready. Carter is going to the same preschool he did last year, but he loves it. I feel like summer is officially over now. I will post pictures of our Lake Powell trip as soon as I recover from all the laundry.

River Rafting and Hitch Hiking

We had quite the adventure yesterday. I headed down to Brandi's for a little BBQ and swimming at their house. Well, Brandi and I gave into peer pressure, (Aaron and Zac), and decided to go float the Weber River. Zac was kind of on a time schedule. He had to back for dinner with his family buy 5 or 5:30. We had plenty of time for a quick run. So we drop my car off at Mt. Green and head to the Stoddard exit. I made sure I told them I was putting my KEYS behind Brandi's seat in her car. So we get in the river and begin a very slow float. It took FOREVER!!! We had to have picked the slowest part of the river to float down. Well about half way down the river I was thinking about getting out and getting in my car when I realized just where my keys were and where they needed to be. Yup, I pulled a stupid. The whole concept behind leaving a car at the bottom is so we have a car to take us to the top to get the other car right? Some how this didn't exactly click in my brain. By the time we finally made it to our destination it was 6 and we were in luck because their were 3 guys sitting by their cars. So Aaron tells them our situation and the one says to him, "we are headed that way, but my wife would kill me if I let you in my car all wet." What a jerk! So Aaron and Zac got to actually hitch hike for a ride. We were surprised and how quick they got back. The nice fellow that picked them was said they didn't look like normal hitchhikers because of their swimming suits. Thank goodness. So we made it home by 7 and Zac wasn't in too much trouble. Besides the few setbacks it was a blast!

Back To Reality

This last week has been a busy one. We just got back from a vacation with my family to Palisades Reservoir in Wyoming. I now find myself working through a mountain of laundry. It was so much fun and so beautiful up there. This use to be a frequent vacation spot for our family. My grandparents had a cabin up there but sold their portion a few years ago. We stayed in Aaron's family cabin this time. It had been 6 years since I'd been there last and the lake was empty then up until this year. It was so full we couldn't believe it. We were able to jump off the McCoy Creek bridge (about 20 feet). We did it at night a few times too. Total adrenaline rush! We also went tubing/rafting,(I stayed dry in the raft with all the screaming kiddies), down the Salt River a couple times. On Saturday we made the trip to Jackson Hole. We went through a few shops and watched the 20 minute gun fight they put on. The kids loved it. This trip was very relaxing. The kids enjoyed running around outside and exploring the wilderness. I enjoyed having nothing to do and nowhere to be. Hollie learned that deer really do have teeth! LOL. I'll let you ask her about that one. I was horrible at taking pictures this trip because a lot of it involved water and I didn't want to ruin my camera.

Well, through all the packing and getting ready to leave, Carter had a birthday. We left on his birthday so we celebrated with Gronni and Poppi the Sunday before. Just our luck, the camera decides to die two pictures into the celebration. Anyway, he enjoyed his birthday and I can't believe he is already five!!! I'd say it makes me feel old, but I know I'm way too young have a 5 year old;) He is such a fun little boy and I can't say it enough, they grow up way too fast!

Happy Fourth!!

I know it's a little late to wish everyone a Happy Fourth of July, so I will just tell you that we had a happy Fourth. We started it out on the third with fireworks at Bryan and Tasha's. It was fun as always. On the fourth we went to the Kaysville parade with my fam and Bryan and Tasha joined our crazy group. The kids loved it. Carter doesn't like the noise of the sirens so when they came down the street I backed of a bit. Once bailey heard there was candy involved she was all about the parade. With some help, she collected quite a bit. After the parade we headed up to Dan's parents for a barbeque with Bev's family. We swam for a few hours and ate some yummy food. We were all exhausted by the end of the night so we put the kids to bed on time and just watched a movie. I love the fourth and the festivities that came with. Thanks to everyone who shared the fun with us.

And The Day Is Over

This is one of my favorite times of the day. It only took about thirty minutes to get the kids into bed tonight and Bailey actually stayed in her bed instead of into Carter's. I love watching them sleep. Bailey had quite the day.

The poor thing spilled water on her skirt, but no big deal, just throw it in the dryer. Then we decide to get a Slurpee from the good old 7-Eleven. The lady was mopping the floor and of course Bailey has to pick the RED slurpee. We were on our way out of the store and she some how had ended up with the drink down the front of her and all over the CLEAN floor. The lady was sweet and helped me clean her up. Let's just say my clorox pen is my best friend today because she was wearing a white tank top underneath her pink striped one! So we get home took her shirt off and gave her a nap. After her nap she brings me a diaper and tells me she's stinky. For some reason the stinky part didn't click and I just assumed she was really wet since she hadn't had her butt changed since, Oh i don't know, all day. So I lay her on the floor and pull her pull up off and guess what. Poop! So I'm trying to hold her legs off the floor with one hand and the yucky pullup in the other yelling at Carter to get some wipes and a bag. Don't worry, we got it all cleaned up and srubbed the carpet a million times and sent them out the door to blow bubbles. Not even 5 minutes later she had dumped the bottle of bubbles all over her clothes. So, you guessed, we changed her again. Needless to say, Dan came home, took them for a bike ride and got them into bed, and now our day is over.

Yay For A Laptop!!!

So as you can tell our laptop is back. YAY! We were able to save everything. I couldn't be more thrilled. Dan has restarted it to the beginning and now has to reload alot of the programs, but I'm back into the blogging world. I have a bunch of pictures of the last month, but they are on Dan's parents computer. As soon as we transfer them to ours I will post. So here is a little clip of a spider on my wall (aka Carter). And yes Bailey is sitting by me telling me she is stinky. I remember doing this when I was little and my mom would get so mad at us because it left hand and foot prints on the wall. It's so funny, but guess what my first reaction was. Yup, "you're making my walls dirty." Don't ya just love kids!

Six Week of Summer

Okay so I found this fun site. They are giving away a bounce house. How fun would that be. Lock the kids in there and let them go to town. Check it out. If you aren't a SITsa yet then sign up, but make sure you tell them I referred you. I'm excited I found it. Yay!

My Theme Song

Take this test!
Your upbeat approach to life makes "Walking on Sunshine" the perfect anthem for you. We can see you dancing down the vegetable isle with your grocery cart, smiling at all the checkout clerks. We sure hope you've had your Wheaties to keep up with your perky pace all day long. This happy, horn-driven tune carries you to work every day. And even in those brief lapses when you're not fully on your game, "Walking On Sunshine" seems to put things in perspective and get you back to your super groove. "And don't it feel good?" Who cares that this tune was a one-hit wonder for Katrina and the Waves? Even that quality matches your one-of-a-kindness. You're walkin' on sunshine and spreading it wherever you go.
