Dan and I celebrated our 6th anniversary on Saturday. I had told him, due to our money shortage, that I just wanted to go to the temple and to dinner. Well, he surprised me by taking me to the Salt Lake temple (we have been here for weddings but never to do work). Then he surprised me with a stay and the Marriott's City Center hotel. I love this hotel. It was just nice to get away with just the two of us.
This anniversary also marked the 5th anniversary of our family being sealed for eternity. When I think back to our sealing and the events that led up to it, I remember how crazy our life was with all the many trials that we went through at the time. The week before especially. At one point I remember thinking "are we really gonna make it? Is it really worth all this?" Then when we finally did make it and they brought Carter in to be sealed to us, I realized it was more than worth it. I'm very grateful for my family and for a wonderful husband who is worthy to take me to the temple. I love you Dan!
