Lake Powell '09(Caution! Picture overload)

I'll keep the description short. Lake Powell was fun this year. A little chillier than we liked but I found it to be a very relaxing vacation.

We took boat rides and watched the kids play in the water.

We painted on the rocks. (Don't worry it washed off.)
The boys loved to explore.

We did some face painting.

Had fun taking pictures and take a look at our awesome spot this year. It was amazing!!!

Look at those cute cute kids! And thanks to the two amazing people who put so much work into making this trip happen. We love you Gronni and Poppi!!! We can't wait for next years trip.

Time For An Update

I think we have adjusted to our crazy schedules and now it's time to update everyone on what we've been up to.

Carter tested for his orange belt....

but skipped his orange belt and tested for his blue belt. He's getting ready to belt test for his purple belt.

Carter just finished up another soccer season. He played hard this season and did a lot better.

Bailey started preschool and tumbling and loves both!!!

Could Summer Really Be Over?

I know it's still August and the weather is still warm, but once school starts it feels like summer is over. About two weeks we went on a quick trip to the Palisades Reservoir with my family. It was a blast, but I only took 5 pictures and all them were of these boys swinging on the tree. This is what kept them busy all weekend. We went boating, ( you weren't gonna catch me getting in that water... too cold), Dan enjoyed the fourwheelers, and we just enjoyed each other. There is never a dull moment when we get together and you can always counting on laughing the entire time.
Last week Bailey had her little singing performance. It was so fun to watch. The whole group sang Surfin USA and then her little age group sang Rubber Ducky. She loved it!!!

Well, I'm sending Carter off to Kindergarten on Monday. We went this last Monday, but you all know how it works, it was just their back to school day. He's so ready and I think I'm starting to feel a little better about it too. Once next week is over I think we will all be okay with it. This year is going to be a busy year, but we'll have lots of fun!!!

Summer Update

I am waaaay behind on blogging. Now that summer is almost over (boo), it's time to get caught up. So here's what we've been up to...

The kids were busy with swimming lessons in June.

Carter is a little fish now. Although, I think he learned more
in Poppi's pool than swimming lessons.

We took a crazy trip to the Hogle Zoo. Take notice to the kid
to adult ratio.

We really enjoyed the parade. Bailey was on a little float with
her singing group. Little stinker just stared at us like we were
crazy. The second they passed us, she got up and danced.

And of course Carter's birthday. We love having it in the summer so have an excuse for everyone to come swimming.

This kid loves money!!!

Oh...and look what I found. This is what happened after the long day at the zoo.

Apparently her bangs were bothering her.
We have some fun stuff coming up so hopefully I can be better about updating the blog.

Look who just turned 6...

yes this handsome boy just turned six, and Mom is having a hard time. We

had a great day. I'm such a slacker with blogging and so maybe in the sometime in the next six months I'll get around to blogging about it. (I know I promised more about Bailey's amazing haircut, but I lost the pic, but trust me, It was BAD!!!)

Happy Birthday Bubba!!!

Where Have We Been?

The month of MAY was a busy one for us. (Be prepared for a long post and lots of pictures). Carter had his preschool graduation before Memorial Day. It was so cute, but Mom isn't so sure how she's feeling about it. They sang the cutest little songs and Carter has got some awesome moves. (I'd show ya but I'm still trying to figure out how to get the video transferred over.) Kindergarten, here we come!

His cute class. The little blonde in the pink flowered dress is his crush of 2 years.

Carter started karate about 2 months ago. It really keeps us all busy, but he LOVES it. It's been really good for him too. The discipline, focus and confidence it teaches is awesome. He got his yellow belt at the end of May. We're so proud of him. He's hoping to be ready by August to get his orange belt.
During his belt test.

Recieving his yellow belt and retiring the white belt.

Bailey is busy being a little princess. She started a little singing group at the beginnning of May. I haven't had a chance to watch at all, but she loves it. She struggled with the thought of me leaving her with a stranger, but has gotten over it and is now the loudest singer. They are singing "Rubber Ducky" and "Surfin' USA". She will be the 4th of July.

Ready and waiting to go swiming.

Karate chopping the water.

The last weekend in May we took a little vacay to St. George. We had a lot of fun with the kids. We did some shopping and lots of swimming. We found some splash pads and a fun little park that they had built a little stream for the kids to play in. They had a blast.

Totally exhausted!
Well, I think that just about sums it all up. My next post will be what happens when Bailey finds scissors and decides to try out her mad haircutting skills..
