Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone. We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. We had a weekend full of Easter Egg hunts and family. Saturday we made it over to Gronny and Poppi's for an egg hunt and a nice dinner. Then over to Grandma Denese's on Sunday. The kids had a blast. I think Bailey had too much sugar before church. The nursery leader says that Bailey is one of their quietest kids in there and she was running around screaming and singing I am a child of God the whole time. At the end of the day yesterday Carter said to me, "Mommy the easter bunny is so nice."
Now that the Easter egg hunts are all done we can reflect on why we really celebrate Easter. The lesson I taught in Sunday school today was on repentance. I am so grateful for the Savior's atonement and sacrifice for us so that we can repent for sins. How many times have we suffered for one reason or another and asked our Heavenly Father to just take this pain away from us and he does? Think of Christ in Gethsemene suffering for all our sins and how bad our Father in Heaven wanted to take his pain away, but didn't so that we wouldn't have to suffer. I just think that is amazing.

Jody, I am so grateful for your testimony. It makes me so happy that I have family that feel the same way about the church and the gospel of Jesus Christ; and I am grateful that you want to live your life to the standards that our Father in Heaven has asked. Thank you for being such an awesome example.
