Merry Christmas

Well, Christmas has come and gone and was a success. The kids were so much fun this year. We finally got Carter to sit on Santa's lap. Now Bailey is a different story. Dan started out a little bummed with his brand new temple bag, (don't worry he really does appreciate it), but the surprise couldn't have worked out any better. He finally got his Xbox 360!!! We hope everyone's holiday was as joyful as ours and may the New Year bring many more surprises.

The busy holiday season has arrived and we are so excited. Carter is excited about the snow and couldn't wait to make a snowman. He was outside playing while Dan was working on his car and I looked out the window and Carter had a snowman half way made and he did all by himself.

A Week of Thanksgiving

This week I've been thinking of what I'm most thankful for. I've decided this year I am very thankful for my family. It has been such a fun week. Dan's parents decide since we were all going elsewhere for Thanksgiving that they would get away for a few days. They were nice enough to let us come swimming at the hotel. Carter can't stop talking about it. We spent Thanksgiving day at Margie's in Tooele. We had alot of fun. We found an icy patch of side walk and couldn't resist. My sisters, my mom, amd I were crazy and went to the after Thanksgiving sale at Toys R Us. We got a hotel room across from the store and got about two and a half hours of sleep. It was a nice break from husbands and kids. For pictures of our crazy night check Brandi's blog, she might have some posted.

We Can't Keep Her In and We can't Keep Her Out

Bailey just can't make up her mind. You might remember the video of her climbing out of her crib. Well, we got this little tent from Brandi to keep her in her crib and it's great. I keep coming upstairs to find Bailey in her crib with the tent all zipped up and can't figure out how she gets in it. So I pulled out the camera and told her to show us and she did. We just can't keep up with this little monkey. Everytime we turn around she is into something new. Never a dull moment around here.

I haven't been very good at keeping with our blog. I didn't even write about our Halloween. October was a busy month full of birthdays. Now that it's all over it's time for the holidays. In Carter's preschool they have been talking about Pilgrims and Indians. He came home with this cute little outfit. His jacket is made out of a grocery bag. He is loving school and it's so fun to see him learn.

Witches Night Out

I was lucky enough to get another
girls night out this month. This time with my mom and sisters. We went to the witches night out at Gardner Village. It was a blast!!! We went to dinner at archibalds and laughed all through dinner. Then we did some shopping and danced a little, ( making complete fools of ourselves). But it was fun. We went to the salon and had our faces done like witches. We were looking pretty hot. It was a very cold night but we had too much fun. I look forward to next year.

On Thursday we all took a well deserved girls night out to Gardner Village for the Witch A Palooza. We only made it to a few shops before we had to get a mini manicure (which included painting our nails). Then it was off to the dinner and the program. They did a really good job. We thought for sure Tasha would win the limbo but her competition were little kids and she tripped on her pants. It's alot of fun. Thanks to our hubbies who took the kids.

So Bailey has figured out how to climb out of her crib. This particular night she through a fit because after 20 minutes of trying to put her own jammis on I finally helped her. So I put her in bed and a few minutes later we heard her banging on the door with her bottoms halfway on and inside out. She is such a little stinker!

Bailey's First Haircut

Bailey got her first real haircut today. I say real haircut because I've gone through and evened it up here and there when it bugged me. Today we gave her a full haircut. She sat so good and was very patient. She look so cute!

Lake Powell 2007

We just had an amazing week at Lake Powell!!! There were so many fun things to do. We found a beautiful spot that was perfect for the kids to play. The three little boys swam all day. We had a blast on the tubes and all came out with matching burns on our elbows. I finally got up on the wakeboard and lasted maybe 2 minutes. We took a nice boat ride through the canyon to see the arch. It's amazing how high those walls are. Thanks to everyone for such a wonderful vacation. Carter is recovering from his burn. Before we left the houseboat, he said, "Mommy I Love Lake Powell!"

Last week my mom's family held their family reunion at Marsh lake. I was able to ride up with Cherri and the kids for two days. It rained the majority of the time and was a little cold, but we had a blast! Aaron and Brandi put to together a Fear Factor game and it was pretty gross. We had to eat things like kipper snacks and clam juice, pigs feet with peppermint sprinkles, baby food, and a few other nasty things. Everyone was a good sport. The kids had fun playing in the mud. I think Bailey went home with the most mud on her clothes. Aaron bought a trampoline for the water and was excited to try it out. Me and Hollie joined in the stupidity. I now know why they call it a glacier lake. It was cold!!! It was fun to see everyone.

Carter's Birthday

Happy Birthday Carter!

So we just celebrated carter's 4th Birthday. I can't believe he is already four. Time flies by way to fast. It was a very fun day. We had everyone over for cake and ice cream and them went swimming in Gronny and Poppi's pool. At the end of the night Carter said, "we had a fun day!" Thanks to everyone for coming and for the gifts. He has played with everyone already. Now I just have to find a place to put them all.

ALOHA!!!

This past week has been amazing. Me and three of my sisters had a girls only trip to Maui. That's right, no husbands and no kids. It was a mother's dream come true. We laughed so hard about every thing. Hawaii is so beautiful. We had quite the adventure. On the first day we got there we took a trip to Hana. For those of you that don't know the Hana highway it is very windy and narrow and it's a two hour trip both ways. Poor Dakeri couldn't even last fifteen minutes and was so carsick. My dad couldn't pull over and we were in a minivan so she just opened the sliding door and puked out the door. The cars behind us were swerving to miss the spray. That happened about seven times. We did a lot of sight seeing and went to Big Beach and played in the waves. That was quite the experience. On the last day we decided to drive up to Haleakala to see the volcano crater. We got to 9200 feet, about two miles from the summit, and ran out of gas. You can just imagine the sight it was to see four girls pusing the car so my dad could get it turned around. We coasted all the way down the mountain and made it too the gas station. We had so much fun and there are so many stories to tell. I'm very glad to be home and can't wait to go back.

On Saturday we went to Willard Bay to go wave running. Brandi and Aaron, Cherri and Josh, Kevin and Traci, and the cousins were all there. Bailey got her first ride on the wave runner and loved it. Carter wasn't too sure about it so he just played in the water with his cousins. Bailey tried to wash her hair with the sand and had it on every inch of her little body. The water was kind of cold and the wind was blowing but it was still alot of fun!!!

With Mother's Day this week I've been thinking about Leilani and my own mom and all they do for us. I admire my mom for all she has been through and how strong she is. Can you imagine raising 7 hormonal girls. Alot of people feel for my dad but my mom's the one who had the biggest influence on us. She has always tried to teach us right from wrong and even though it didn't seem like we listened we really did. She was always very busy giving us what we need. All the many hours she spent sewing our prom dresses and now sewing all the grandbabies blessing dresses, she is amazing!!! She has always thought of our needs before her own. I love you Mom.
Leilani is also very amazing. She has raised a wonderful son. i know Dan brought them through alot, but I know it is because of Leilani's faith that he's the great husband and father he is. She does so much for us now with being our babysitter on Mondays. I couldn't have asked for a better day care. She makes it possible for me to work and for us to survive. The list she does for Dan is endless and I don't know where to start.
Thanks for all you do. We love you!
Being a Mother myself is the greatest blessing I will ever recieve. Everytime I here "I love you mommy," makes up for all the fights and tantrums that go on in one day. I couldn't have asked for more beautiful children.

Hogle Zoo

Today we took a trip to the Hogle Zoo. It was Bailey's first time and she enjoyed it. Carter was a little disapointed because he didn't see the hippos, but he couldn't wait to see the next exhibit. The monkeys were cute and one came up to the glass to take a closer look at the cute kids. Bailey could hardly stand it. She was so excited! It was a lot of walking and we were all pretty worn out. Carter was out within ten minutes of getting in the car.

We had a week end full of Easter fun! Thursday was and easter egg hunt with Grandma Webster. While the eggs were being hid we went to Great Grandpa Webster's farm and saw all the animals. The hunt was fun! Bailey picked up on it pretty quik and got a few eggs. We did another easter egg hunt with Grama Lonni and Poppi on Saturday. Carter just couldn't believe all the eggs he got. We hope everyone had a good Easter.

We finally got Carter and Bailey in to get their pictures done. Wow! What an adventure this was. Bailey usually shines in front of the camera, but she was not up for it today. We were able to get a few shots. She let us know she was done when she just laid down on her tummy and cried. Carter was a little bored but he was still posing. Good thing they're cute kids.

On St. Patricks Day Gronny and Poppi treated us to Disney on Ice. It was a fun show. The boys loved it. It was such a nice day so we walked over to the Gateway after for lunch. The kids had fun playing in the fountains and streams. They all played really hard and took really good naps when we got home.
